The South Carolina Employment Security Commission operates a national training program on Labor Market
Information funded by the U.S. Department of Labor, called the Labor Market Information Training Institute.
The Labor Market Information Training Institute provides training and information services to Labor Market
Information professionals and users across the country. The Institute offers a free, short online course called
Workforce Information Basics. The course provides information on Labor Market Information resources and how
to obtain them. This program is available online and through a networkable CD-ROM.

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) National Clearinghouse for Alcohol
and Drug Information (NCADI) is the Nation’s one-stop resource for the most current and comprehensive
information about substance abuse prevention. They distribute the latest studies and surveys, guides,
videocassettes, and other types of information and materials on substance abuse from various sources such as
the U.S. Department of Education, Labor, and Health and Human Services (HHS).
The National Clearinghouse for Alcohol and Drug Information employs English and Spanish speaking information
specialists who are skilled at recommending appropriate publications; conducting customized searches; providing
